Where do you begin to find a therapist and how do you know if they are right for you?
In my experience, I found a therapist years ago, through a friend that referred her to me. It is important to me to make sure they are licensed, experienced with my needs & most importantly I feel a connection. It took me time to find that right one, as I evolved, my needs changed. I needed to change my therapist. This is ok and therapists are used to this change.
I highly recommend that you feel comfortable while safe with the therapist you pick. They should be an essential part of your self-care and you should be learning from them. The following article talks about “How do you find a good therapist.”

I believe a therapist is essential for everyone as we all live in a difficult world. To share my thoughts and feelings is essential to my growth. Take your time and remember you are interviewing them to find the right fit. Good luck and I hope this article helps. -Debbie-
